Sod Solutions Names New Sales and Development Role

Sod Solutions hired Sam Greenwood to pursue sod sales and development.

Greenwood’s career spans from 1983-2010 as a sports turf manager at Quality Turf, where he was responsible for major installations, including Raymond James Stadium, to his role as national production manager for Golf and Sports Turf at Bethel Farms from 2010 to 2023. At Bethel Farms, he played a pivotal role in expanding bermudagrasses and growing the sales division significantly. His profound understanding of the turfgrass industry, coupled with his extensive network ranging from golf courses to sports fields and public municipalities, makes Greenwood an asset to the Sod Solutions team.

“I look forward to furthering Sod Solutions reach in the sod industry through expanding the sports venues that our grasses are in and strengthening our relationships within the industry," Greenwood said. "I am excited to be on the Sod Solutions team. I have worked alongside the company since it was started and have always been impressed with how they do business."

Greenwood's role at Sod Solutions will involve leveraging his extensive experience to enhance product development, client relations and strategic growth initiatives.

Munro Adds Eastern Regional Manager

Munro, a manufacturer of pumps, pump controls and pump stations for the turf irrigation market, has named Fred Lee as its new eastern regional account manager.

"Fred brings so much experience to the team, in both distribution and wholesale sales. His abilities to connect with our partners will be invaluable," said Darin Rowland, national sales director. "We are all so happy that Fred has decided to join us here."

Lee will work closely with the company's network of professional distributors as well as with irrigation specifiers, landscape architects and landscape contractors to provide support and further develop and enhance Munro's current market presence. With more than 20 years of sales and management experience, Lee has built a strong reputation for creative problem solving, efficiency and dependability. 

McHale Landscape Design Acquires Musgrave Lawn & Landscape

McHale Landscape Design acquired Musgrave Lawn & Landscape, marking family-owned McHale’s fourth acquisition in five years. 

This acquisition will fortify McHale’s presence in the Gibson Island. Millersville, Severna Park and Annapolis, Md., market and beyond.

"This development marks a significant addition to our Annapolis team, enhancing our capacities to deliver exceptional maintenance services," said Keith Bowman, McHale's president of horticultural services and business development. "We are excited about the positve effect this will have on our operatons."

KeyServ Names 2 to Leadership Positions

KeyServ, a landscape services firm operating across the Southeast with a substantial customer base spanning over 3,000 in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama, appointed Jake Lachapelle as the director of finance. 

Prior to joining KeyServ, Lachapelle served as a leader in accounting, financial planning and reporting at One Eighty Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm. His diverse background includes significant contributions at Eaton Corp., Amsted Rail Co., West & Co. and notable service as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

"I am honored to be named the director of finance and join such an esteemed company who is continuing to grow exponentially year over year,” said Lachappelle. “I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to contribute to the financial success and strategy of KeyServ.”

Lachapelle joins KeyServ during a time of exponential growth since its founding three years ago. The company continues to actively acquire profitable landscape companies positioned for success.

KeyServ also named Mike Schreiber as its vice president of sales and operations. 

Schreiber, who initially joined KeyServ in February 2023 as the senior director of marketing and category management, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His career in landscaping began in 1993 as a groundskeeper, and he has since excelled as a professional landscape architect in both South Carolina and New York. With expertise in regulatory affairs, sales management and product management, Mike is well-equipped to lead KeyServ's strategic initiatives.
