DICA’s LevelRight helps tree care professionals stay grounded — literally — by helping them to safely and efficiently set up outrigger-enabled equipment on unlevel ground.

Designed for use with any equipment that requires a level service for setup, such as bucket trucks, boom trucks, cranes, concrete pumps, jacks and scaffolding, it’s especially valuable when setting up on slopes, curbs or uneven terrain commonly found in residential and park environments.

“LevelRight eliminates the time-consuming guesswork and manual labor that often goes into stabilizing equipment on uneven ground,” says Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. “Instead of relying on makeshift solutions like wedges, digging or stacking shims, operators can use LevelRight to quickly achieve a safe, level setup. This leads to faster mobilization, fewer setup errors and more time focused on the actual job. The result is increased productivity, improved safety and reduced wear and tear on both equipment and crews.”

Koberg notes that LevelRight was developed in direct response to a gap in the industry.

“Equipment manufacturers specify that outriggers must be set on firm, drained and level surfaces, but on many jobsites (especially in landscaping and tree care), that’s just not possible without extra effort,” Koberg says. “Existing equipment like ball-and-socket or hinged outrigger joints have limitations when dealing with uneven ground”

In the past, the lack of a simple, adaptable leveling tool often forced crews to use wedges or other improvised materials that weren’t consistent or reliable, Koberg says.

Koberg adds that the product is a direct extension of DICA’s mission to protect people, equipment and worksites.

“Whenever you’re working, LevelRight offers a field-proven, ergonomic solution to simplify setup and improve jobsite safety. It’s a small tool with a big impact,” Koberg says.

Key features of the product include: Img 0050DICA Outrigger Pads

  • The adjustable pad design allows tree care professionals to level equipment when the surface is unlevel in both directions, something traditional pads and cribbing can’t do alone. It can adjust in two planes, up to 5 degrees each, for a total of 10 degrees. This multidirectional flexibility, combined with the built-in bubble level and compatibility with other equipment support products from DICA, means crews can establish a level base quickly, safely and without the hassle of wedges or excessive site prep.
  • It’s built for real jobsite conditions. LevelRight pads are engineered to handle high compression loads but are still lightweight, easy to deploy, clean and store, making them ideal for everyday use by professionals.
  • The 2025 expansion of the LevelRight line includes new 12-inch 30-inch and 35-inch models, meaning landscape and tree care professionals now have more options to match the specific needs of their equipment.

Koberg notes that LevelRight is designed to be a transition layer between the equipment and the ground. For the safest setup, professionals should use it on a hard surface along with neoprene rubber or another high-friction material to help secure the pad and prevent shifting.

“LevelRight is designed to be used in compression, meaning it should always be placed on a hard surface (like pavement, a base pad or cribbing stack),” Koberg says. “It’s important to ensure the outrigger foot being used does not overhang the edges of the LevelRight pad. Doing so could compromise the stability and effectiveness of the setup.”

Koberg notes that being named as a category winner of Green Industry Pros 2025 Editor’s Choice Awards further validates the company’s mission.

“It’s a tremendous honor for LevelRight to be recognized as a 2025 Editor’s Choice Award winner,” Koberg says. “This award affirms our commitment to solving real-world challenges faced by tree care professionals. The award underscores the value LevelRight brings to the jobsite and the positive feedback we’ve received from users across multiple industries.”
