Irrigation Association Urges Community Managers to Hire Certified

Materials supporting the Irrigation Association’s initiative promotes the benefits of working with certified irrigation professionals.

The Irrigation Association (IA) has partnered with the Community Associations Institute (CAI) to promote hiring IA-certified professionals to over 10,000 community leaders in California, Colorado, Florida, Texas and Virginia.

For the CAI initiative, IA created a custom Hire Certified brochure that promotes the benefits of working with certified irrigation professionals to homeowner association leaders, an important customer base for landscape professionals. The brochure urges volunteers and professional managers to use IA’s online directory to locate qualified professionals with the expertise needed to design, install and maintain a variety of irrigation systems.

In addition to a direct mailing, the campaign includes advertising in CAI’s Common Ground magazine, Community Manager newsletter and website.

“IA’s Hire Certified campaign complements CAI’s mission to inspire professionalism, effective leadership and responsible citizenship,” said IA Professional Development Director Sherrie Schulte, CAE, CLIA. “Tapping into CAI’s database of influential decision-makers was the obvious next step in our efforts to increase the demand for certified irrigation professionals.”

CAI provides information, education and resources to a membership base of over 30,000 homeowner volunteers and professionals who govern and manage residential communities. The CAI partnership is part of a broader campaign to promote hiring certified professionals to both the agricultural and turf/landscape sectors.
