Celebrating 75 years of innovation, reliability, and leadership within the snow and ice control industry, Western Products is commemorating the anniversary with a limited-edition 8-ft. 6-in. MVP 3 V-plow, available in both stainless steel and mild steel.

Each blade features a special anniversary decal and is fully supported with accessories and service parts for the life of the plow. These limited-edition plows will be available starting fall 2025 through authorized WESTERN dealers, while supplies last.

A Legacy Built to Perform

From pioneering plow technology to supporting modern fleets with industry-first features, Western Products has remained focused on a single mission since 1950: to help professionals get more jobs done faster, no matter how tough the storm.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Western Products introduced its first snowplow in 1952. This launch came as America’s suburban expansion created rising demand for residential snow removal and light-truck applications.

Western Products quickly became a trusted partner to contractors, introducing hydraulic blade angle control in 1960, and advancing its capabilities in 1977, with the patented Multiple Circuit Control system, which allowed independent hydraulic control of multiple plow functions. This was a significant step forward both in operator efficiency and equipment reliability.

In the decades that followed, Western Products built on its operator-focused foundation. In 1980, it introduced lightweight straight blades for half-ton trucks and the SnowKing, named the official snowplow of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games.

The 1991 launch of the UniMount system simplified attachment and removal of plows. By the late ’90s, the MVP® V-plow brought multi-position blade control to contractors. In the 2000s, Western Products enhanced electronic controls and modular designs, highlighted by the 2012 FLEET FLEX™ electrical system, which standardized components across models to reduce downtime and ease maintenance.

These innovations reinforced Western Products’ commitment to delivering durable, user-friendly equipment, tailored to the evolving needs of snow removal professionals.

“For 75 years, our focus has been on engineering equipment that meets the real-world demands of winter contractors,” said Andy McArdle, Vice President Marketing at Western Products. “This anniversary isn’t just about looking back, it’s about celebrating our incredible team at WESTERN, recognizing the people who rely on our products every day, and continuing to earn their trust season after season.”

Looking Ahead to the 2025–2026 Season

The 75th anniversary will be recognized throughout the entire 2025–2026 winter season. Western Products will share historical content, product spotlights, and dealer appreciation events, honoring the professionals who rely on its equipment to keep roads clear and businesses running.

Any person who purchases a WESTERN blade through October 31, 2025 will be eligible to receive a special owner's edition gift with product registration.
